List #7 - List things that make you feel healthy



I struggle with this list a bit, since I have been battling health issues for years and years and still don't seem to have that combination of "things" that make and keep me healthy.  I've battled severe back pain from ruptured discs since I was a teenager, migraine headaches, horribly sick with each pregnancy, late pregnancy losses, ear pressure issues that forced me to leave home, and so much more.  I can't say that I am not weary from the chronic ailing frustrations, but I'm not giving up and continue to pursue ways to help me get healthy.  I've chosen mind over matter and try daily to stay positive.  I'm truly grateful for every day.

"Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body."

  • Feed my mind, body & soul the fruits of the Spirit - "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control".  Galations 5:22-23
  • Sleep - I need extra sleep.
  • Eat regularly - I eat small meals often, otherwise, I do get migraines.
  • Cleanliness & Order - clutter and disorder leaves me feeling stressed and drained.
  • Bible - reading my Bible brings insight and trust in the Father's greater plan.
  • Less is more - less junk food yields healthier meal choices
  • Learning beside my children - being open to new things & trying to see through the eyes of a child - good for the hearth and soul.
  • Gathering together with family - support is good
  • Quiet - I need calm and some quiet times to recharge and refresh.
  • Staying on task and trying to avoid distractions.
  • Essential oils
  • Blogging/writing - sharing my heart is "therapeutic"
  • Slowing - embracing the rest that comes from not rushing through and staying busy
  • Walking a little more
  • Stopping to smell the flowers 
  • Heated rice packs 
  • Hot tea 
  • A hot shower
  • Just being home 
  • A whispered prayer

  2. I love all of these. This might have been my favorite list to write so far even though I'm still trying to figure things out too. I enjoy finding ways to be healthy. I'm so glad you are choosing to stay positive because it can be hard at times. Praying for you!

  4. I am way behind on my lists, but I will be caught up by this weekend! I like this list. I like that you have things on here that aren't easily associated with health like the obvious diet, exercise, etc.
